Hi,

I'm Abhi (pronounced as Aw-bhee). I'm here because... well, I guess you know why I'm here. I'm just finding it a little hard to figure out what to say about myself :-) So here we go...

I am a reasonably well rounded individual, who comes from a middle class Bengali family. Born and raised in Bombay/Mumbai, completed my graduation in Business Adm & Economics from the US, been back in India for the last 10 years, completed my MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) in 2008, been in Mumbai since then. I currently work in corporate strategy for an India-based MNC.

I consider myself to be intelligent, witty, sometimes crazy, but mostly, a very passionate person. I think what I'm most passionate about is the people in my life. I have a lot of very close friends for whom I'd never think twice about going out of my way. I think one of the reasons why I am affable is that I make the effort to see things from the other person's point of view.

I'm an extrovert, a big foodie, and you'll usually find me at a bar or a house party on weekends. Enjoy drinking, but am not an alcoholic. I love and enjoy all kinds of music from all over the world. And if it's good enough, I'll start dancing - which usually involves vigorously shaking my head and my hips. Fortunately, I've got rhythm! Sometimes, I break into a dance even if there's no music. I love to laugh and I love making others laugh even more.

I'm ambitious; I know I'm capable of doing great things. Just don't know what those great things are as yet. But I guess that's what makes life interesting. I enjoy cooking and am good at it - honestly!

I am quite short (5'0"), but that is adequately compensated for by my personality (or so I believe). I enjoy traveling - favourite destination is Goa, go there atleast twice a year.

About my family, parents live in Kolkata. Dad is retired, mom is a homemaker. Have an older brother (married) who lives in Singapore, and a 4 day old nephew!!

I don't want to rush into marriage. It's very important to me that I get to know someone reasonably well before deciding to spend the rest of my life with them. That could happen in 3 months or 3 years, or more. Depends on the individuals I guess.

I think I'd get along with someone who is independent, intelligent, has a sense of humour, is broad minded, and obviously, can relate to and share my lifestyle. Caste, creed, race, religion, etc. don't matter. I am an atheist and unsuperstitious, but respectful and accepting of others' belief systems.
